About the Opportunity
Due to rapid growth, we are currently seeking a Lifestyle & Events Assistant to join our team.
This role will initially be 3 days per week (part-time), with the opportunity to transition to full-time once our Stage 2 aged-care facility is completed.
The Lifestyle & Event Assistant will report to the Marketing and Events Manager to design, develop and implement diverse, high-quality, safe, and inclusive lifestyle and recreational activities for residents. This includes a variety of recreational, creative, cultural, spiritual, physical, and sports-related leisure activities, delivered one-on-one or in groups that are beneficial to all residents.
This position is crucial in helping individuals maintain freedom and live with dignity, self-determination, and comfort as they age, while also boosting their social involvement.
All responsibilities must be carried out in line with the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission Standards and under the supervision of the Clinical Manager and the Operational/Facility Management team.
Ideally You Will Be
- Bilingual in Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) and fluent in English
- Able to work one day on weekends (if events are scheduled)
- An excellent team player and communicator who can also work independently and solve problems effectively
- Experienced in event planning, management, and implementation, as well as in reviewing recreational and/or rehabilitative programs—preferably in the aged-care industry
- Knowledgeable in current best-practice aged-care lifestyle and leisure techniques
- Experienced in networking with community organisations to provide residents with enhanced recreational and lifestyle activities
- Strongly dedicated, with practical experience in developing inclusive lifestyle initiatives
Compliance Pre-Requisites
The successful candidate will:
- Have full work rights in Australia (Australian citizens or permanent residents are preferred)
- Undertake an Australian National Police Check
- Must hold a Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, or have relevant work experience in the aged-care sector
